Industry Advocacy: Using Our Collective Voice

My commitment to representation extends beyond the stories I perform and produce. For more than 20 years as a proud SAG-AFTRA member, I’ve worked to support fellow artists, strengthen our community, and help build an entertainment industry that is more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the people whose work brings it to life.

I’m honored to serve as an elected Convention Delegate for the SAG-AFTRA New York Local and as National Co-Vice Chair of the union’s Asian Pacific American Media Committee (APAM). These roles allow me to listen to the concerns of my fellow members, contribute to important conversations, and help turn shared priorities into meaningful advocacy and action.

My union involvement has also included service with SAGIndie, the SAG-AFTRA New York Conservatory, the National Diversity Advisory Committee, the SAG Awards Nominating Committee, the SAG Short Film Festival, and the American Scene Awards. Through this work, I’ve helped support initiatives that create greater visibility, access, and opportunity for Asian Pacific American artists and other historically underrepresented communities.

I believe lasting change begins when artists come together, listen to one another, and use their collective voice. I’m proud to be part of that work—and committed to helping more people, perspectives, and stories be seen, heard, valued, and celebrated.
